I am looking for resources about why the United States having bases in foreign countries is bad. I know it is bad, but it is hard to find resources on something like this.
I know how the Ramstein Air Base in Germany was used for the Vietnam War and War on Terror. The military rape incidents at Okinawa. I do not know much besides this.

Comrades, I have a good friend who's in need of some history books. Specifically he knows nothing about British empire, russian empire and Mongolian empire.

Ok so its sympathetic to Hisbullah but anyways, is it quite a good primer of info , so to speak, on it? It did come out in 1997 and I'm just thinking there's more to it.
Or I'm just hallucinating? It feels like engaging in a blog post like 12 years ago, there is no brain rot, no dismissing of others opinions and overall the atmosphere is so much nicer than in reddit or youtube. I also feel like there is a stronger social connection here, perhaps because we are not massive and people take their time to elaborate a response. Just something I've wondered for a while now.
Was reading Losurdo's Stalin and he uses that expression a lot for the Trotskyist factions in the USSR. Couldn't find any certain origin for that expression, and I've never heard it outside Marxist circles.

I don't know much about the ideology other than it allegedly fuses Arab Nationalism with Socialism and is divided between a Syrian and an Iraqi interpretation. ... read full post
