There is no doubt that UAE sends weapons to RSF or that China sells weapons to UAE. So Chinese made weapons ending up in the hands of RSF is quite likely.
When it comes to stories critical of China it is important to start with the understanding that China is socialist with the goal of communism. We need to trust the Vanguard of global communism to have a reason to do what they do because they know way more than we do and have analysts rooted in marxism working on every decision.
My guess on their reasoning here is that if China doesn't sell weapons to UAE, they will get them from USA and that will make the USA stronger. Usa is the priority and the only way to disarm a nuclear armed state is through economic strangulation.
Once the usa is so crippled that it is no longer a danger China can revive international law and the ICC will return to its purpose of punishing the crime of genocide and other such international crimes.
China are going after the root cause of all war and genocide. (aka the usa lead white supremacist world order) They are playing a long game and working in a way to minimize the risk of failure. Why fight for healthcare when you can fight for socialism? Why end world hunger when you can end capitalism? Why try to stop one genocide when you can stop all genocides?

I'm not overly familiar with Chinese weapons exports, but they don't seem to frivilously export them for profits. Particularly selling offensive weapons to states that are known to engage in wars of aggression on behalf of the empire would cause me to raise an eyebrow.
