Recently watched Narcos: Mexico, watched Narcos a couple years ago. Of course, the drug lords are scumbags. But I feel like it's also DEA and USian propaganda.
I've been trying to find an organization to get involved in but a lot of the bigger Leftist orgs in America have some kind of controversy related to them and that's a bit off-putting.
Freedom Road Socialist Organization is the only one I've heard of that doesn't appear to have any stains on it and that's piqued my interest. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they a good org?

Straight forward question. Been trying to gauge the man's politics and I think he leans more toward being an anti-colonial nationalist rather than an outright socialist. Sometimes when a socialist is lil' booj/labor aristocracker, I see this canard used to console them that just because they're a part of an exploiting class doesn't mean that they can't be a traitor to that class and aid the revolution. A similar sentiment is expressed when someone brings up that Engels, Lenin, and Mao all came from priveleged backgrounds, or when someone brings up the clapback that Zhou Enlai made against Kruschev. When does a regime become so reactionary and fascistic that critical support for it isn’t justified? Obviously I’m not saying that this applies to countries like Iran, Russia, and the former Syrian Arab Republic (among others), but when do the negatives outweigh the positives of supporting said country against foreign aggression/western imperialism?
