What is this ON a plant?

This is on one of my mother's maples. What is it and what should she do about it?

And by a while ago, I mean 2017, but I just stumbled upon it and remembered no one ever was able to identify it for me back then.

Edit: Forgot to say this is Indiana, USA.

About a year ago and this was just a couple of leaves that a storm washed out on the driveway. It's been sitting in a pot ever since, now over a metre long and with flowers. Can anyone ID please? (Australia, near Sydney- doesn't look native to me though)
I bought this plant at a flea market this weekend in Central Virginia, USA. I'm not sure what it is, however, and I want to make sure to take proper care of it. I was hoping you all could help. Thanks so much!
really great to see the new @plantid group! this is the type of thing the fediverse is perfect for.

I'll send a single berry via fedex to the first person to get it right. Promise.

Godwin survives everything, he likes to live very cramped and sometimes enjoys bad hair day.

My wife and I weren't sure about the species here. Please advise - TIA.

Interesting bot, hope this works!
Hi folks, the bot is a bit buggy and I am still working through it. It will be available intermittently. For now you are able to trigger it via posting the image in the URL field only. This will help me test it. :) ... read full post
I saw this tree on a hike in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. The pine needles were very small. The foliage seemed to drape over and hang from the branches.
If anyone would like to help me set up these communities and/or mod, please get in touch. This place is what we make it and Iād love some fresh ideas. I mod a number of smaller science subreddits and would like to help make this place just as nice, if not better!

May be useful to some. In the meantime, will work on a bot to ID posts. :)
