About a year ago and this was just a couple of leaves that a storm washed out on the driveway. It's been sitting in a pot ever since, now over a metre long and with flowers. Can anyone ID please? (Australia, near Sydney- doesn't look native to me though)

I know very little about plants is the base of the plant a bulb? It looks a lot like a caudex to me, from what I can see.
