Magdalena Bay has dominated my listening habits this year, so I cannot not recommend Imaginal Disk (2024) by Magdalena Bay. I've also gotten back into recently David Bowie (particularly Station To Station (1976)). If you want a lesser known pick, I like to recommend people a Turkish band from the early 2000s called Laço Tayfa, which blends jazz, funk and Turkish traditional music (their album Hicaz Dolap (2001) is great).
Other artists include: The Mars Volta, Yes (mostly pre-90125 (1983)), Genesis (mostly pre-Abacab (1981)), Devin Townsend (incl. Devin Townsend Project), Danny Brown, Return To Forever, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Rita Payés, Björk, Bent Knee, King Crimson (can you tell I like prog), Foxygen (some of their albums are amazing, some are very mediocre)…

December I sort of allow myself to listen to my favorite albums of the year on repeat, so this is a great week to ask me haha
Radio by Bershy, kissing someone else by Caroline Kingsbury, Homeless in Heathrow by Fartbarf, feel the way I do by primer, 6am by channel tres, seasons (waiting on you) (badbadnotgood remix) by future islands, capsize by big black delta, little light by deep dreem, shoulder by unicornicopia.
That should be a good start to a list
