So yeah, my girlfriend had been using and liking Orchyd for her period tracking, but now they're deleting the app for some reason. She's tried a few open source alternatives like "drip." but not convinced because it doesn't give predictions of ovulation, PMS, etc. After searching for a while with her, some of the most popular good-looking options are paywalled, and we've so far settled on MeetYou, an app I found after looking for "Chinese period app", which seems decent but has ads and it's not open source. ... read full post

Does anyone have articles or books on better understanding the current government and economic policies in Laos?
For a current ML country I feel like it’s the least talked about/understood one. From what I’ve gathered they underwent market reforms similar to China and Vietnam but haven’t heard as many details on how it’s going.

Like, I dunno, he's just got a vibe. When I watch his videos I can't help but wonder what it would feel like to kiss his mustached lips, or rest my head on his hairy Italian chest.

Google has definitely gotten worse in the past few years and it's fucking impossible to find any articles or news or academic papers or anything on any topic that doesn't fit the opinion of Washington or Langley.
Anyone have any recs on what else to use.
So as I understand it the idea of "treatism" is something that came from the hosts of Chapo podcast. I was wondering if there's been a write up on the concept or a specific podcast episode that explores this theory in depth.
As I understand it, it's drawn from the basic ideas of unequal exchange and so on, but I'm interested in the specifics of how this variation is presented and argued..

Can Americans explain whats happening over there
My job has made me so used to calling people "sir" or "ma'am", but wtf to I say to an NB?
How on planet Earth can I change this pdf to epub? I tried everything I could think of in Calibre but the problem is that the pdf has 2 columns of text per page, plus footnotes on each page. When it converts to epub it just prints each line of each text column as a line of text, which makes it totally lose it's meaning. Footnotes are also just added as regular text, as part of a supremely incoherent story with aggressive punctuation. ... read full post

Don't want to talk about it other than to say 'no, the podcast does not stay on during sex'. I think she thinks I left the house because the sex dungeon is down in the basement (obviously) and this place used to be rented out so one needs to leave the house and enter via a backdoor. ... read full post
It was to the west where I live. Overcast but still bright out, probably from the moon lighting up the sky? Anyway every like five seconds one patch of the sky would blink like a strobe. Why??
It's not my eyes because I rubbed them and looked out at another part of the sky and it wasn't doing it. I'm sober too so I'm not under the influence.

Saw a guy with some shit on his forearm the other day, wondering the chances of him being a fan of a really shitty vegan painter.
