So weird, part of the night sky tonight was blinking every five seconds.

It was to the west where I live. Overcast but still bright out, probably from the moon lighting up the sky? Anyway every like five seconds one patch of the sky would blink like a strobe. Why??

It's not my eyes because I rubbed them and looked out at another part of the sky and it wasn't doing it. I'm sober too so I'm not under the influence.

Some sort of beacon or an airport tower light reflecting off of the clouds.

There's a lot of weird shit in the sky lately. The sun keeps burping so that might be it.

By any chance, have you used any radio telescopes pointed at the sun to amplify a message detectable by Alpha Centauri?

Or perhaps conducted any particle accelerator experiments with completely nonsensical and non-reproducible results?

Maybe worked in a nanotechnology lab lately?

You are welcome. From what I've read, even M class flares create weird phenomena, in the skies and with devices!

I’d say probably something shining consistently but getting obscured by clouds or whatever else is most likely. Could also be something like a geostationary satellite but I think those would have very dim reflections at their orbital distance
