We do know that folinic acid treats cerebral folate deficiency, which is a rare (but probably underdiagnosed) cause of autism. That's where the idea it works for everyone with autism comes from I imagine.

Just like ivermectin made people with both worms and covid better. It's not that it couldn't help, it's that it isn't directly helping and people are claiming that it does.
