The VII Theoretical Seminar between the Communist Parties of Cuba (PCC) and China (PCCh) was held yesterday in China, aimed at addressing practices and experiences to promote socialist modernization through scientific development planning.

According to Prensa Latina, Gladys Martínez Verdecia, a member of the Political Bureau and first secretary of the Provincial Committee in Artemisa, highlighted the role of these exchanges as a mechanism to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Furthermore, he pointed out that they allow for a deeper examination, from a Marxist perspective, of the current challenges of socialism and the proposal of concrete solutions, while also noting that the community of shared future between China and Cuba is the first established by Beijing with a Latin American country.

That alliance, he asserted, reinforces the validity of socialism as a development model for both peoples.

Furthermore, the leader emphasized the achievements of the link between Artemisa and the Chinese province of Hunan, which are tangible evidence of the strategic importance of the ties between both communist parties.

The forum also provided an opportunity to denounce the intensification of the US government's economic blockade against Cuba and its inclusion on the spurious list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism. In this regard, he expressed gratitude for Beijing's consistent condemnation of Washington's pressure on Cuba, as well as the support of the Chinese government and people in key sectors such as agriculture, energy, and cybersecurity.

Both parties, he stressed, are an example of solidarity and cooperation in building socialism.

For his part, Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, emphasized the importance of strengthening communication and exchanges to promote bilateral cooperative relations, and the need to develop medium- and long-term plans geared towards socio-economic development strategies.

In this regard, he explained China's experience in preparing five-year plans, which, he said, have a broad basis in scientific development planning.

The seminar, attended by a Cuban party delegation headed by Martínez Verdecia, featured three panels that addressed the main challenges in ideological work, economic work, and anti-corruption efforts.

The delegation began its tour in Hunan, as the collaboration between that province and Artemisa is emerging as a positive benchmark for local ties between Cuba and China, with concrete results in agriculture, trade and economic development.
