It really has made agitation easier. Before all of this, it took a lot to explain to libs around the world how the US did war crimes but now we just need to show libs their own Western media.

War crimes are frowned upon because they inspire escalation. If you let your soldiers get away with wanton rape and murder, then the next guy will massacre a village, then the next guy drops a nuke on a city, then the next guy unleashes a 99% kill rate bio weapon.

Increasing surveillance like the various Internet IDs and chat controls are much more of a danger than this is, because its already defacto legal.
