Sometimes I just want to vomit

Because of people saying they would absolutely fight for Ukraine. Acting like war is some fun COD game. Acting like you are a coward or a traitor if you don't want to fight 'for our freedoms'. What freedoms? I spent two years getting beaten down at protests against a genocide. A lot of is can't find decent housing or a job or whatever.

It's such bullshit. If war breaks out I'm out on the next plane somewhere safe. Sout-America, New Zealand, idc. Not gonna fight for some bullshit Western supremacy shit.

I work with refugees on a daily basis. I hear their stories of war. And you think they are cowards for fleeing? For not wanting to be bombed to shreds? Get a grip and stop LARPing.

End of rant.

What's stopping them? Why don't they just go there and enlist? Ukraine is desperate for cannon fodder. They accept pretty much every volunteer or mercenary.

I sympathize. Having been born into a rough working class family, although in germany, i've had my share of cruel experiences.

The amount of bigotry in the educated "leftist" circles is astonishing. Most would shit their pants the moment the first explosion rocks their bed at night.

Having grown up in a rough, poor neighborhood I learned something that is very rare in germany: the low value of life. People on the short end of the working class who barely hang on, have low or no perspective and get discriminated against multiple times per day do not necessarily blink at the use of violence. Especially lethal violence isnt as uncommon as rich leftists might think. It was a constant reminder in my youth that it is a bad idea to disrespect a stranger.

Thats why i understand a lot more of the horrors that people in warzones must face than average and I can tell you, these people would die of a heartattack instantly. They would shoot themselves just to not be as frightened anymore.

Its what I tell people who yap about war. If you saw someone die by the hand of another, if you were threatened with (credible) lethal force, then you can talk about war.

Before that, "leftists" who are pro war shut their mouth in my presence.

Amerikkkans only know of war from troopslop

They have no comprehension of the evil that they unleash on the world. Any time war comes up I always say, I feel badly for those people. Even if their government is bad they don't deserve it. We all have been dissatisfied with our own government. The people having bombs dropped on them are families. I always think of my kids, and me being taken from them, or their mother, by war. That typically elicits a moment of introspection.

Probably doesn't stick but it's a start

I have straight up had people not bat an eye to tell me if they didn't want their children dead, they should have dealt with their government.

Being "a coward" is the most human response to war. The fact you don't want to be killed and want to live to old age is very human.

My family heritage being in the United States is full of different ancestry that fled to the United States to escape persecution. In fact, my grandfather on one side was a refugee who fled the Sudetenland a few weeks before Kristallnacht happened.

To me if there was a war, I would swim to Cuba if I have to.

the issue with modern rightoids...they think about spectacle too much

What freedoms?

assuming that you're an north american the freedoms that you have are: being able to choose between a couple of old rich white pedophiles, feeding yourself on a healthy diet of mcdicks, deep-fried food and soda, feeling superior to all the rest of the world without the need of leaving your own state or knowing anything about the rest of the world, having an education and learning about crushing debt in the process...you're so ungrateful

I feel bad about every refugee. When Syrian war started and turkiye intervened in it people were shouting to Syrian refugees “our boys are dying for your country and you’re on vacation here” I’ve heard this so many times and most of the time refugees look down for shame (I thought it was).

When I grew up I understood that shame was for their families and villages turned into a war zone or a military base. I see Ukrainian people coming here and they are facing the same thing with better conditions.

That’s why, I’m explaining everyone that I met, there’s a only war it’s the class war because our color might look different but our tears and sweat are the same colors.

When I'm leaning too much towards doomerism, I come here and find a ray of light, that, to borrow an expression from kabbalah, that shatters the vessel (and the light penetrates every world).

You all are the greatest. Thank you. ❤️🫡
