Fada N'Gourma, Nov. 29, 2025 (AIB)- The Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou, inaugurated the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of sector 3 of Fada N'Gourma, this Saturday, November 29, 2025. The infrastructure was built entirely with the municipality's own funds.

The Health and Social Promotion Centre (CSPS) of sector 3 of Fada N'Gourma, inaugurated on Saturday, November 29, 2025, consists of a dispensary, a maternity ward, a pharmacy and 2 waiting rooms, for a total cost of 117 million CFA francs.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou, expressed his "joy" and "gratitude" for this initiative, which he described as a strong symbol of the commitment of local authorities to the well-being of the population.

“This achievement comes at a time when our country is facing multiple challenges. Despite these obstacles, the people of Fada N’Gourma have shown admirable resilience,” he said, paying a “vibrant tribute” to their determination.

The minister welcomed the choice of the special delegation of Fada N'Gourma to invest in the health sector, considering it proof that "decentralization is a living reality" and that health, a fundamental right, remains at the heart of local priorities.

According to him, the new center will help to relieve pressure on the city's University Regional Hospital Center (CHR-U) and improve the quality of care.

Addressing the people, Dr. Kargougou invited them to take ownership of the CSPS.

“This center is yours. It is up to you to visit it regularly, to consult on time, to vaccinate your children and to follow the advice of health workers. Take care of it as a common heritage,” urged Dr. Kargougou.

He reminded the health workers of their responsibility, urging them to offer "a humane welcome, diligent service and respectful and professional care".

He called for the CSPS to become "a model of performance and humanism".

For the President of the special delegation of Fada N'Gourma, Kampadilemba Jérôme Idani, the project was born from a plea by the former regional director of Health for the East, Gaston Soubeiga.

He praised the efforts of the town hall, which made it possible to fully finance the project.

The new CSPS should help bring healthcare closer to the populations of sector 3 and strengthen the healthcare offer in the commune of Fada N'Gourma.
