Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro delivered 98 social welfare projects framed within the government's 7 Transformations Plan to strengthen the health sector in the country.
"Today we are going to deliver health works made with love, with tireless work, work, work, if anything motivates difficulties, threats, if anything motivates us it is to work more, to make the most of our time to build, to build," said the Venezuelan head of state during the delivery of one of the Obratón projects, the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit of the "Dr. Carlos Arvelo" University Military Hospital in Caracas.
The delivery was led by the Venezuelan president, the first combatant, Cilia Flores, the Sectoral Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health and Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez; the Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, GJ Vladimir Padrino López, Sectoral Vice President for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister for Defense, GB Rosalbina Hurtado, Sole Health Authority of Caracas, AJ Carmen Meléndez, Mayor of Caracas, among other authorities.
With this project, the Venezuelan government reaffirms its commitment to direct investment for the country's development in health matters , with the full participation of the people.
"We need to improve our diet and exercise. Healthy body, healthy mind. Healthy food, regular exercise for a healthy life ," said Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro .
Venezuela delivers health project as part of an agreement with Iran
Within the framework of the agreements established with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Bolivarian Revolution delivered the Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Recovery Unit, located in the "Dr. Carlos Arvelo" University Military Hospital in Caracas.
The cardiopulmonary unit will have four beds for preschool and school-aged children , and two for newborns. This fully renovated space also has all the necessary supplies and equipment installed , and will be staffed by specialized nursing and medical personnel.
Nicolás Maduro emphasized that the medical center's technology constitutes "an atomic bomb, a rocket to save the hearts of the children, men and women of the country . "
Dominican professionals pursue postgraduate studies in Venezuela
At least 36 Dominican health professionals are currently pursuing postgraduate programs in various medical specialties in Venezuela as part of bilateral agreements and the spirit of complementarity of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP).
The educational project strengthens the ties of cooperation between both nations , promoting academic exchanges that will allow for the significant development of the health sector.
