There are many thousands of ways to correct individuals. The best way is to send one armed expert. I don’t mean to outshout him with logic, I mean correct him. Slay him, assassinate him with thuggee, by silenced pistol, shotgun, with a high-powered rifle shooting from four hundred yards away and behind a rock. Suffocation, strangulation, crucifixion, burning with flamethrower, dispatch by bomb. Auto accidents happen all day. People drown, get poleaxed, breathe noxious gases, get stabbed, get poisoned with bad water, ratsbane, germicides, hemlock, arsenic, strychnine, L.S.D. 25 concentrate, cyanide, hydrocyanic acid, vitriol. A snake could bite him, nicotine oil is deadly, an overdose of dope; there’s deadly nightshade, belladonna, datura, wolfsbane, foxglove, aconite, ptomaine, botulism, and the death of a thousand cuts. But a curse won’t work.
A brilliant book, I can't believe I didn't read it sooner. It expands on his thinking from Soledad Brother, one could say this book is partly "Guerilla Warfare" and like a proto "Settlers". Despite his decade plus incarceration, he was far better read on theory at 30 than I sure was. The analysis of fascism is spot on. His points about the need for armed revolutionary soldiers is very important. Having just read "The Jakarta Method", in which the unarmed Indonesian Communist Party was massacred by the army is a testament to the thoughts of Jackson. He even predicted the downfall of Allende. Although this was from 50 years ago before the rise of neo-liberalism, I feel like this is gaining relevance due to the violence of this political period in the west, as the capitalist pigs have tried various economic measures to curb the revolutionary and uncooperative masses and are now resorting back to hyperfascist strongarm tactics.

This is on my reading list, but I just started another A. B. Abrams book (Surviving the Unipolar Era: North Korea’s 35 Year Standoff With the United States, 2025). I'll get to this one in the next six months though, I read the beginning and it was absolute dead-on in it's analysis.

I think Lady Lomax is still around, though, representing Africa with her Anglo-Saxon vernacular. Her husband, L. Lomax was C.I.A. Did you read The Reluctant African, which was sheer propaganda for the “owner,” disguised in blackface?
LOLLL i like parts in revolutionaries' texts where they get gossipy about random reactionaries. hilarious
They will use the tactic “white left-wing causes” to protect their bosses’ “white right-wing cause.”
...especially because it refreshes my faith that there is a science here, continuity, and that analyses from different periods still hold today and can be used as guidance.

just the preface and i'm shaken and reminded of every reason we have to commit ourselves fully to the cause
i felt familiar with the story. not sure where i'd heard it before, but i knew of jonathan jackson and i knew of his last actions, his love for his brother that motivated him. maybe even before i started wanting to become a principled ML. i remember feeling stricken, a story about a man losing his faith and becoming grievous--i wonder what mindset i was in when i read that, where i read it, if it was presented like that to me--i felt a fear back then, but that was because i wondered what could push you to do that and give your life, felt selfish. now it's a reminder that's what we all have to give up for a better world.
locked for twenty three hours because you pose a danger, speaking to others in your dreams, for that is the level of isolation they want to break you wholly, is horrifying. it's cliche to mention how this reflects every piece of propaganda against TotallyTarian Communist Countries, from fictional novels to fake testimonies purportedly about the real world, but there's no other way to put it, a very sick organization of society from top to bottom, repulsive and deeply deeply inhuman.

We must accept the eventuality of bringing the U.S.A. to its knees; accept the closing off of critical sections of the city with barbed wire, armored pig carriers crisscrossing the streets, soldiers everywhere, tommy guns pointed at stomach level, smoke curling black against the daylight sky, the smell of cordite, house-to-house searches, doors being kicked in, the commonness of death.
