My parents sank a ton of money into an RDSP and they BALKED when I told them that that money isn't safe because a piece of paper told them, and that god only knows what could happen in the 50+ years it'd take to cash out, that there were unforeseen risks and threats to the long-term structure of the economy itself, that that cash could be used to go back to school or pay student debt.
When Ottawa loots it to bail out Peter Thiel and/or to keep the lights on I expect an apology. I thought it would take longer but there it is.
