Exactly, China has had a faster rate of human development than any other nation in history. Period. Everybody should be studying what China is doing and using it as a model.

China's economic planning is currently the closest real world example of a humane version of an RTS game focused on human development.

In addition, tech such as thorium or fusion power or next generation battery science in the west is always explained as 30 years away in some youtube edutainment vid since the internet began but China has acutal developmental goals that it consistently outperforms more times than not.

A worker's state makes utopian scifi a reality.

This article reads like the epitome of cope. China does not focus nor does it need to focus on "consumption" because that is exactly how the west drives its own collapse.
