With the aim of strengthening teaching capacities and creating tools for student development, within the framework of the National Education Strategy and as part of the National Education System, the Course Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Education was launched.
“We are currently in the first phase of the course, with a core group of 6,000 teachers, including colleagues from the National Technological Institute, Higher Education, and Basic and Secondary Education . It is being conducted through the UNAN-Managua Moodle platform and will last five weeks. This will strengthen teachers' digital skills and foster dynamic and interactive learning experiences that contribute to students' human development ,” said Eliseo Rivera, coordinator of the teacher training team.
This course will provide teachers with the necessary tools for generating texts through Artificial Intelligence (AI) , and for generating videos, which will contribute to pedagogical practice.
“Technology is here to stay, and we must keep up with the updates because it is essential that people use it. These technologies are designed to help us, and our aim is to use them to support the creation of educational materials and generate better ideas from an ethical perspective, so that we can then apply that learning , ” emphasized Jeaneth Guadamuz, pedagogical advisor.
