So what I am hearing is what we all knew, the PRC forced capitalists to be more dependent on them than they are on capitalists, so they can just out last in any trade war. I want to know how this is news and not just common knowledge?

I don't think it's news to anybody here, but in the western mainstream it's definitely been a bit of a shock it seems. Which just goes to show how incoherent the liberal world model really is.

Your not wrong, I know there is lots of for lack of a better term western delusion about this. I just still find it interesting this is new to some people because one 1) look and 2) in the grand facist tradition of the enemy being strong and weak, I also constantly hear about how China controls to much and is an exsistental threat.
