Hundreds of protesters in Bilbao, Spain, reaffirmed their support for Bolivarian Venezuela, Cuba, and all the peoples fighting for their liberation (+Photos)
In a very colorful mobilization that marched through the central streets of Bilbao, from Plaza Circular to Plaza Venezuela, hundreds of protesters supporting the Bolivarian Revolution, the Palestinian Resistance, and other peoples rebelling against imperialism and Zionism, demonstrated once again that solidarity is the tenderness of peoples.
The visual impact was not only caused by the numerous Venezuelan and Palestinian flags mixed with the Basque ikurriñas, but also by the wiphala of the indigenous peoples, the red and black flag of the FSLN, the flag of the Sahrawi people, the flags of the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Bolivia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, and of course, the flag of Socialist Cuba, among others.
Throughout the march, slogans condemning US interference and its explicit aggression against Venezuela were heard ("Maduro, hit the Yankee hard," "Alert, the sword of Bolívar is walking through Latin America"), but the need to demand a "free Palestine from the river to the sea" and to expand the "Boycott of Israel" were also expressed.
Once in Plaza Venezuela, in front of the Bolívar monument, the event was opened by popular Salvadoran singer Txamba, who sang several well-known Latin American struggle songs. A manifesto was then read, emphasizing the criminal aggression the United States is attempting to carry out against the revolutionary process led by President Maduro.
The Venezuelan Consul, Glenna Cabello, then spoke immediately, vindicating the struggle of Latin American peoples to break the chains imposed by European conquerors, stating that on this date there is nothing to celebrate except the resistance that indigenous peoples and other Latin American and Caribbean residents have been carrying out for more than 500 years.
He spoke and condemned, with all the force required by the grave moment we are experiencing, the Yankees' attempt to strike at Venezuela, and warned that the people are ready to defend their dignity and sovereignty. He also referred to Palestine and its struggle, and addressed all the sister peoples who continue to rebel against empire and capitalism.
The event concluded with slogans demanding the Resistance of all peoples and a warning to remain alert for possible events that could unfold in Venezuela and Palestine.
