They forced us to read Animal Farm in school, but not 1984 oddly enough. George Orwell isn't even an entertaining writer alongside being a propagandist for empire. And an attempted rapist. And a plaigiarist. And a racist. And a homophobe. And worst of all he was English.

We had to read “The Giver” when I was in school. Similar premise. Never realized that it was all anti communist propaganda until I was older.
