Meetings with student organizations, youth movements, and the provincial committee of the UJC in the capital, in addition to academic, cultural, and sports activities, are part of the second edition of the exchange program between the Union of Young Communists and its counterpart in the sister Asian nation.
To reaffirm the stated commitment between both parties, the second edition of the exchange program between the Union of Young Communists (UJC) and its counterpart in Vietnam began this Monday in Havana, with a day of activities and meetings between the two organizations.
According to the Cuban News Agency, the exchange agenda includes meetings with student organizations, youth movements, and the provincial committee of the UJC in the capital, as well as academic, cultural, and sports activities, within the framework of finalizing and updating the cooperation agreement signed in 2023. On this occasion, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City is visiting Cuba.
Raúl Alejandro Palmero Fernández, first secretary of the UJC Provincial Committee in Havana, explained that during the opening day, tribute was paid to emblematic leaders of both nations: Ho Chi Minh and José Martí.
The program seeks to strengthen the exchange of political, organizational, communication, and youth entrepreneurship experiences, said Palmero Fernández.
Some of the highlights include the Vietnamese business system, which supports the sustainability of youth organizations, as well as the Cuban experience in universities, scientific centers, and cultural centers.
The main objective of the young people's stay in Cuba is to strengthen cooperation and expand opportunities for mutual growth for the new generations, the Vietnamese delegation stated this Monday afternoon during a visit to Juventud Rebelde .
