The President paid a congratulatory visit to a helicopter unit of the Korean People's Army Air Force, which had been quickly deployed to the affected area in the northwest region of North Phyong-an Province last August and had performed significantly in rescuing 4,200 victims. On April 15, the groundbreaking ceremony for the third phase of the Hwasong area, a residential complex featuring skyscrapers and other high-rise buildings, as well as distinctive, highly symbolic commercial and food service centers, took place in Pyongyang's Hwasong district.
At the ceremony, Chairman of State Affairs Kim Jong Un cut the ribbon and, during a meeting with workers and the elderly who would be moving into the new homes, said he was sorry for the late delivery of the modern homes, that seeing the citizens so excited and happy reaffirmed his determination to work harder for the people, and that he wished everyone health and happiness in their new homes.
