The Global South vs the West

cfgaussian - 4mon

As much as i dislike Modi, this is a powerful picture that is bound to piss off the West:

In fact judging by the headlines that are appearing in Western media, they are already seething. German media is especially losing its mind right now, lol.

And we have to remember that Modi won't be there forever, and eventually his fascistic party will lose power too. Leaders and governments come and go but the long term trajectory of not just India but the entire global south is here to stay. Because it is anchored in more than just ideology, it's anchored in tangible material interests.

And it's clear that it is in India's interest to have good relations with its biggest and most powerful neighbor, especially when they have proven themselves an infinitely more reliable partner than the fickle West that changes its mind from one administration to the next and thinks that it can bully everyone until they get their way.

No matter how ideologically inclined toward the West they are, sovereign countries don't take well to being bullied. It's only pathetic vassal states like the NATO-EU countries that will let anything be done to them.

Oh yeah this is such a huge blow to the western narrative. They've been setting up China and India as some big rivals for a while, and all of a sudden here's Modi in China talking about the elephant and the dragon working together. The west is so cooked.

It's also worth remembering that Kerala is run by communists, and India does have a big communist movement that surpasses anything in the west by a wide margin. India aligning with China will obviously be a huge boost for the communists there.

Being bullied this way is a particular sore point for India since they were colonized by the west until fairly recently. Being treated as vassals is simply not acceptable to them. It's absolutely incredible to me that Americans didn't understand thing. Seems like they once again drank their own propaganda kool-aid thinking that India and China were some sort of mortal enemies.
