Ah, I see you noticed it, is used throughout North Africa (and other places too) by many people from different cultural backgrounds and religious traditions as well. We Sephardic Jews use it too for various reasons, decorations, keeping Ain Hara away (that has the birkat habayit written in it as well sometimes not always) etc .

I'm familiar with hamsa in general, just not the variations. Will you translate the top and bottom inscriptions, please? I've taken an interest in Jewish and Christian mysticism (kabbalah) but am currently side-questing into Merkavah. I find I go hard for weeks/months then back off for a couple of months to let it seethe in the back of my mind.
