In an interview with Expert magazine this Tuesday, the diplomat emphasized that the emergence of a multipolar world and the appearance of new, truly independent and sovereign centers of power frightens the West, which clings to its elusive hegemony.

Zakharova added that such "attempts" by the West required additional disinformation efforts, "something they are doing with enthusiasm."

The spokesperson asserted that the most effective weapon against disinformation was truth and facts. The politician emphasized that Russia used all available means, both traditional and new, to achieve this goal.

"For example, the capabilities of digital diplomacy are being utilized. In this regard, the Russian Foreign Ministry is one of the world leaders: with the help of our digital network, department accounts, our foreign institutions, and Russian diplomats, we convey truth and objective information about our country," she noted.

We've managed to reach audiences even in the most remote countries. The truth makes its way through censorship and blockades, she emphasized.
