The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), together with the Union of Young Communists, are proud to announce the Granma Rebelde International Festival, to be held in Havana from October 17 to 20, 2025. This event commemorates the 60th anniversary of Granma and Juventud Rebelde, newspapers founded by Fidel Castro Ruz, Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution.
The Festival will be a vibrant platform for political, academic, cultural, and grassroots exchange, fostering dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation based on critical thinking. Together, we will address the many challenges facing peace and social justice on the current international scene.
We invite communist, leftist, and progressive parties and youth organizations, as well as social movements, media outlets, and academic and cultural entities to join this People's Festival. Let us unite to confront media manipulation and imperialism's fourth-generation war tactics, aimed at inciting hatred, distorting the realities of our nations, and fueling the rise of fascism and neocolonialism.
For sixty years, Granma, the official organ of the Cuban Communist Party, and Juventud Rebelde, the voice of Cuban youth, have maintained their unwavering commitment to the truth. They have promoted unity and solidarity, actively contributing to the creative construction of the socialist project championed by Fidel Castro.
This festival, which will culminate on October 20, Cuban Culture Day, will also pay tribute to the upcoming centennial of Fidel Castro's birth, which will be celebrated in August 2026.
Likewise, from October 15 to 17, Havana will host the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements, a well-established space for the exchange of emerging political theories and practices that address the challenges of our time.
