Any particular reason why you are reposting a Feb 2022 article now? Is the PSL's position unchanged? I would have hoped they, like many others who were initially skeptical or critical of the SMO, had come around to recognizing its necessity.

I just found it today and thought it was worth sharing in case other people haven’t seen it either

I see. I guess it's interesting for historical record but we know much more today than we did in 2022, and the overall global political atmosphere is also quite different. This statement should be viewed in historical context.

In the political hysteria of 2022 putting out a statement stronger than this might have been quite risky, and being an outspoken supporter of the SMO almost ensured you would be marginalized. The media was still able to somewhat credibly portray Ukraine as a "democracy that was attacked unprovoked".

Since then a lot has happened and there is just too much evidence online nowadays that has helped a lot of people wake up. Way more people have come around to seeing the reality of NATO's proxy war and the very clear Nazi and terrorist nature of the Kiev regime.

There are a few parts of the article that have not aged well at all, such as this bit:

"In the political life of Ukraine, the power of fascist groups has waned considerably in recent years and they do not exercise decisive influence inside of the administration of President Zelenskyy."

It is pretty obvious now that this was not and is not the case. It turns out that in this respect the situation was actually worse than most of us thought.

On the whole though the rest of their analysis is broadly correct, and some parts of it were even quite prescient. They were definitely ahead of the curve compared to other leftist orgs, kudos to them for getting it right. I just think that given how much has happened since then that this could use an update.
