Luban Workshop is a new Technical Education and Training Center installed and developed in conjunction with the Government of the People's Republic of China, located in Managua in the Santa Ana neighborhood, 500 meters below MITRAB.
The Luban Workshop Center includes four specialties: Electrical Automation Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Internet of Things Applications Technology. These specialties contribute to the scalability of technical training in Nicaragua.
Within the framework of the Project, Nicaragua provides the infrastructure, teaching and administrative staff and furniture, while China assumes responsibility for the training of Nicaraguan teachers in China and online, as well as equipment, installation and teaching materials.
Taller Luban Nicaragua is the first of its kind in Latin America; there are currently 30 similar initiatives in countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. The name is inspired by the legendary artisan Lu Ban, and in his honor, the workshop promotes innovation, technical skill, and excellence.
We are prepared to hand over the Center to our People on December 10th.
