This week, from December 8th to 13th, the various municipalities will deliver projects that will improve the living conditions of Nicaraguan families ; these projects are as follows:

1. DECENT HOUSING

• 26 homes in the municipalities; Jalapa 8, Chinandega 5, San Juan del Sur 4, Las Sabanas 2, Teustepe 2, Nandaime 2, Comalapa 1, La Conquista 1, Totogalpa 1.

2. STREETS

• 171 cobblestone, asphalt, macadam streets in the municipalities; Ocotal 80, Managua 29, El Tortuguero 22, El Rosario 6, Nindirí 4, Tola 3, Quezalguaque 3, Mateare 3, Altagracia 2, Muy Muy 2, Condega 2, El Coral 2, Tisma 2, Waslala 2, Santa Rosa del Peñón 1, El Crucero 1, Esquipulas 1, Nandaime 1, San Marcos 1, Ticuantepe 1, Villa El Carmen 1, Matagalpa 1 and Ciudad Sandino 1.

3. PRODUCTIVE ROADS

• 71.92 kilometers of improved rural and productive roads, in the municipalities; Jinotega 20.57, Waslala 21, San Pedro de Lóvago 10, Diriá 5, San Francisco Libre 5.85, El Tuma la Dalia 3, Jalapa 3, Matagalpa 2, San Marcos 1 and El Tortuguero 0.5.

4. RECREATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE

• 16 new, rehabilitated and improved parks, walkways, squares, and barriers in the municipalities of Mateare, Masatape, Muelle de los Bueyes, Nandasmo, Santa Rosa del Peñón, Teustepe, Tola, Wiwilí de Nueva Segovia, Yalagüina 2, San José de los Remates, El Castillo, Chinandega, Granada, Esquipulas and Somoto.

5. SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE

• 16 Stadiums, Sports Fields, Courts, new and improved in the municipalities; El Tuma - La Dalia 2, San Juan del Sur 2, Ciudad Sandino, Condega, Diriá, Rivas, San Lucas, Villa el Carmen, Wiwilí de Nueva Segovia, Acoyapa, San Francisco Libre, Santa María de Pantasma, Waslala and Terrabona.

6. MUSEUMS, CULTURAL CENTERS AND CREATIVITY

• 3 Museums improved in the municipalities of El Tortuguero, Puerto Morazán and Tola.
• 3 Cultural Centers improved in the municipalities of Yalagüina, El Tortuguero and Puerto Morazán.

7. FAIRGROUNDS

• 2 Improved fairgrounds in the municipalities; San Juan de Nicaragua and Wiwilí de Nueva Segovia.

8. SCHOOLS AND HEALTH POSTS

• Improvement of 2 schools in the municipalities of Estelí and Jinotega.
• Improvement of 9 health posts in the municipalities of Dipilto (5), El Coral, Masatepe, Palacagüina, and Río Blanco.

9. Early Childhood Development Centers (CDIs), Libraries, Community Centers, and Maternity Homes

• Rehabilitation of a CDI in the municipality of Masatepe.
• Rehabilitation of a library in the municipality of Quezalguaque.
• Rehabilitation of two community centers in the municipalities of Desembocadura del Río Grande and Telpaneca.
• Rehabilitation of two maternity homes in the municipalities of Wiwilí de Nueva Segovia and San José de Bocay.

10. COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEMS AND NURSERIES

• 13 new and improved water systems in the municipalities of Rivas (3), El Castillo, El Crucero, Estelí, Jinotepe, Nandaime, Puerto Morazán, Río Blanco, San Isidro, San José de Cusmapa, and San Sebastián de Yalí.
• 2 improved nurseries in the municipalities of Estelí and Larreynaga.

11. BRIDGES, DITCHES, SIDEWALKS, AND BOULEVARDS

• 14 vehicular and pedestrian bridges in the municipalities of Villa el Carmen (6), Rancho Grande (3), Managua, Altagracia, Terrabona, Bonanza, and El Ayote.
• Construction of 254 linear meters of ditches in the municipalities of Dolores and La Concordia.
• Construction of 1,300 linear meters of sidewalks in the municipality of El Tortuguero.
• Improvement of a boulevard and roundabout in the municipality of Acoyapa.

12. CEMETERIES, LANDFILLS, MITIGATION WORKS AND DRAINAGE

• 3 improved cemeteries in the municipality; Río Blanco 2 and Wiwilí in Nueva Segovia.
• 2 rehabilitated landfills in the municipality; El Tortuguero and Ciudad Sandino.
• 3 new mitigation and drainage works in the municipalities; El Tuma la Dalia and San Juan del Sur and Ciudad Sandino.
