Whats an inexpensive feasible setup to produce my own votive candles?

You can buy food-grade paraffin wax for less than $10 a pound if you're happy with plain, non-fancy candles. Wicks are a pennies each if you buy in bulk. Most craft stores would carry them.

If you want scented candles, you can add essential oils to the melted wax.

You might also want some type of mold release to make cleanup of your container easier.

I am totes OK with cheap as long as they arent harmful cheap haha. Will def take a look at molds, im thinking it seems like its feasible after reading your take here. Other people are saying its sort of expensive so Ill investigate further :)

you need a mold, wicks, and wax

it's not hard or particularly dangerous, but good wax and wicks are a little expensive

there's a reason candles were luxury goods for much of human history

If you don't mind the smell and smoke, you can save money by making candles out of tallow like our ancestors.
