I'm pretty sure Microsoft delivering mediocre at best products is more likely to destroy Microsoft

Maybe worry about how everyone hates the direction your OS is going instead dickhole.

There are a myriad of other reasons beyond just AI for that.

The AI problem is a symptom of the management problem

It's honestly funny to watch all these multi-millionaires reach the wrong conclusion with AI. It's like money turned them all into Howard Hughes, incapable of critical thought. Left only with the ability to double down on dumb decisions while blaming others for the consequences until the wheels come off.
Basically, you point out that no one wants their piss they have been keeping in jars like Howard Hughes did. And their reaction to that is to fill even more jars with piss and hide them everywhere. Just now with AI instead of piss.
Microsoft is going to go under not because it doesn't have enough jars of piss. It's going to go under because everything they make now HAS to contain a jar of piss.
It's baffling to see happen in real time.

They already invested so much money into jars of piss that the only way they can avoid massive losses is if people start buying their jars of piss. They can't actually back down at this point, they're so over leveraged on piss jars that they'd lose everything.

Someday they will be dying in their bunkers surrounded by jars of their own piss.

I'm gonna laugh so fucking hard if Microsoft dies to this slop epidemic. There was no reason for them to double down as hard as they have on this, and everyone smart told them it was, at best, a risky play and, at worst, outright the stupidest thing they could possibly do. They keep pumping in billions, expecting something to change for the better, but it only gets worse.

I went in to the article thinking that Nadella had actually come to his senses and realized their AI tunnel vision was going to destroy the company, but nope, he thinks AI is so good that it will destroy MS.

But coming to market late and with an inferior product (smart phones, search engines, AI, etc) is Microsoft's bread and butter! Why change now?

The writing is on the wall. They're killing their OS market with constant changes that don't improve it, customers don't want, so they're gaslighting themselves it is AI's fault.
They have always had products that fail even when forced on the user (Explorer, Cortana, One Note, etc). Now they're killing it harder with the stupid forced move to Win 11.
I've been using MS OS for years because the software I like runs on it. I strip all the MS OS junk away and it runs perfectly fine. I'm going to stay on Win 10 as long as I can - even converting most of my workstations to LTSC versions (which give me another 7 years of security updates.
I have no desire to move to Win 11. I don't like Apple. I already assume Linux is my desktop future and I'll slowly be converting workstations to it over the next year if MS doesn't change their path. I have experience with Linux, but I'm not a huge fan. That said, it will be better than a shit Win 11 thats for sure.
I'm a perfectly happy MS OS user they are chasing away. It has nothing to do with AI.

I knew this company and its products are going to shit when they started forcing AI on their employees. Soon they pushed AI into windows and now are launching AI products baked into windows which are of no use. They arenβt solving any problems but creating new ones instead

BTW, this isn't him undrinking the Kool-Aid, he's saying he's scared they're not investing enough in AI and it'll replace all the other things Microsoft does through magic.

Maybe Microsoft could go half and half, rather than all in on one thing of dubious real-world value.

Microsoft CEO Concerned AI Will Destroy the Entire Company
https://futurism.com/microsoft-ceo-concerned-ai-destroy-companyThis moron will destroy Microsoft with AI himself, by shoving it into everything when it doesn't work and nobody wants it.
Sounds like someone is big mad they went all in on this AI bubble and now has to start backpedalling before the inevitable crash.
He's not even backpedaling, He's trying to pedal forward harder!
