Just Work Hard

cone_zombie - 2mon

While I agree on amassing capital, begging is something I could never justify. It's usually a result of many poor decisions and capitalism has little to do with it

yeah dude last time I went out begging it was because I was sick of all the free healthcare, free food, free housing, and education at the Free Necessities of Life store

Oh, wait, none of that shit is free??

Capitalism has everything to do with it, actually. There are 28 vacant homes for every homeless person in the USA. The US could end homelessness overnight if they wanted to. They just don't want to.

That's a crazy statistic.

Since about half of US homeless population is orphans who never had a social security net to fall back on and a significant portion of the rest is mentally challenged, the poor decisions clearly were "not having parents" and "beeing unwell".

Disgusting, dehumanizing take. Edit: not you. I agree with your summary.

I have to agree, I could not justify it to myself.
If I were reduced to begging.
As someone infected with toxic masculinity, I am supposed to be self-sufficient and "a provider of surplus value"
So in the face of this failure, to at least maintain and defend a cardboard box home from the attacks of the police
I would discontinue my homeostatic metabolic processes.
I can tell from the statistics that many people come to the same conclusion.
And when not enough people come to that conclusion, our numbers get thinned out by states who engineer a world war so as to cull the excess human population.
This is how a State maintains order and our physical security, you see, they are doing this for our own good
