It'll be big if this wax model is any indication.

My first thought was it looked quite a bit like the full sized clay models Detroit* used to make…

Presumably everyone else who made cars too 😉

Wow, I first thought "weinermobile" before reading the title, then after skimming the title my brain doubled down and thought "weiner... submarine???"

I only know enough about ships to sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I do know that the ship is built around the big components. It's not like you finish the hull first, then start putting all the stuff inside, because the only access points are the hatches on top and the torpedo tubes (and missiles on top of if it has missiles). There's no way to get the reactor components inside post-construction. So they're claiming to have a complete operating reactor right now (though not fueled or running).

While they might have cleaned it up for a photo op, given this level of alleged completion, I would expect a lot of work still going on, too. The big parts are already inside, but the small components, especially the stuff for the humans, still needs to be installed. There's zero evidence of that work here.

Also, you usually want to keep all this stuff secret, because it reveals a lot about a ship's capabilities.

What's the likelihood it even makes it 100 miles off of their Coast before it is accepted by Davey jones as acceptable sacrifice for all the missiles they shot at him?
