I've noticed that most anime have 20-minute episodes, so I've decided to start finding shows that go higher than that. Obviously, a lot of shows have double-feature episodes (such as RIN: Daughters of Mnemosyne), but here's the top 5 I've been able to find.
Made in Abyss: "The Challengers", "Gold" [reportedly around 60 minutes each]
Hellsing: Ultimate: "Hellsing X" [67 minutes]
Pluto: "Episode #1.1" [71 minutes]
Oshi no Ko: "Mother and Children" [82 minutes]
Key: The Metal Idol: "System" [97 minutes]
Please do not recommend episodes that are below an hour in runtime.

By carefully stretching the definition of an episode we could argue that Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya S2E1 has runtime of over 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure Endless Eight was only 24mins

Yeah, but if we count the all of Endless Eight as one episode split into eight broadcasts then it's 24min*8=192min.

I'm pretty sure Endless Eight was only one episode, but I did get a sense of deja vu from it.

Um... no.
For better of worse, Endless Eight was eight full episodes. They seemed identical, but the actual point was that they only seemed identical and were in fact not.
And I'm reasonably certain that the underlying point, ill-considered though it might've been to try to make it the way they did, was specifically to frustrate viewers by repeating the same events eight times, to really drive home the point that Yuki experienced those same events, with the same full awareness of the repetition, 15,532 times.

97 minutes
At that length, I think I'd call it a movie/film even if it's part of a TV series's progression.
Frieren ep.1 to 4 were 4 episodes but were premiered on TV as a quadruple feature at around 2 hours minus advertisement time.

Attack on Titan final episode is 85m.

That episode where Frieza was gonna destroy Piccolo's homeworld in like thirty seconds but it was really like 30 days

Does the Garden of Sinners series count. I mean that's all movies with the longest 120 minutes. But it's kind of a very long series

All separate entries on MAL for what it's worth.

I vaguely remember that I did not watch the anime adaptation of Atelier Ryza because the first episode was 3x (4x?) normal length, which should be >60 min.

There's a few episodes of Detective Conan/Case closed that aired as 2 hour long specials. The longest I can find rn with just a quick search would be episode 345 at about 117 minutes.

What is the longest anime episode of all time?

If we're including Japanese anime films in general, In This Corner of the World is supposedly the longest at 168 minutes for the extended version, followed by Final Yamato at 163 minutes, and then The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya at 162 minutes -- according to this list on Wikipedia.

That's a good answer.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is 156 minutes
