Their strategy of using a transparent player (Hughes) who couldn't be seen by defenders was novel, but didn't end up working.

I can imagine they might let him play all the way to a league cup final. But, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Raya playing in the FA cup, at least the later stages.

Not the best night for LaCroix, eh. He scores an own goal, them he fails to convert his penalty.
Semi-final vs Chelsea will be intense. Hopefully by then we've figured out how to score again.

So many chances in that first half, could have had a good lead heading into the second. Props to Benitez, the real difference maker for palace.
