That's wild, and I was hoping it was confusion around Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which was disqualified for one Game of the Year award, which went to Blue Prince instead, which was kind of controversial. I didn't think anybody seriously thought Blue Prince used genAI, and it's wild that nobody said it until Clair Obscur was accused of it (and lost a GOTY award to Blue Prince).
Not only was Blue Prince made by one guy over 8 years, but that one guy apparently sequestered himself away from gaming so as to not be influenced by other games. It really is a special game.
(I still haven't beat it. I enjoy failing at it. I got my first lever though! For those who know what that means, I don't think it's a huge deal. I couldn't make it to the antechamber though. I have watched a spoiler-lite video by IGN on how to "actually beat" Blue Prince, and, nope... I don't think I'll ever do it. But I will enjoy, a couple times a week, taking runs at the mansion. It's fun. I like exploring. And I'm still discovering new rooms.)
(Also, Blue Prince is on the Mac, which is a rarity among computer games these days. Like Clair Obscur, you can play it on an Xbox or PlayStation, but if you game on computers, you don't have to be tied to Windows to play it. Moreso, since Macs are ARM64 machines, I feel like that means a Switch 2 release is coming, so it'll come to handhelds. It's not a terribly complex game, nor is it very big (like under 10GB).)

I finally "beat" it (room 46) after about 3 months, one of which I barely played more than once a week. It was frustrating, at times, but there's so much beyond just beating the game, so I still have more to do.
I think it took me until Day 58, but I purposely didn't look up people's average play time so I didn't get discouraged.
