Hi I’m a 19-year old woman, 167 cm tall and I weigh 61 kg. I started going to the gym two months ago and have lost 6 kg. I’m now at a point where I really don’t want to lose any more weight I want to gain muscle instead.
A physique I’ve always admired is Lara Croft’s I think she looks amazing. I was wondering if anyone could talk about the strong points of her physique and how a person could work toward achieving a similar body type.
Starting next week, I plan to go to the gym three times a week the most I can manage because of work and split my training into
Day 1: Upper body
Day 2: Lower body
Day 3: Full body
This way I’m hitting each muscle group twice a week. I also walk an average of 20,000 steps per day.
Right now I’d describe myself as “skinny fat” with a noticeable amount of belly fat and I really want to build muscle. Additionally my body type is also on the more rectangular side. I’ve heard about body recomposition losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time and that’s what I’m aiming for. From what I’ve read, I should eat around maintenance calories which for me came out to around 2,100. Does that sound right?
Could someone help explain how I can work toward achieving a physique similar to hers?
Extra information:
I just wanted to share the types of weightlifting exercises I do each day. For my upper body I do shoulder presses, chest presses, lat pulldowns, tricep pulldowns and finally bicep curls.
For my lower body I do leg presses, the abductor machine, leg extensions and leg curls. For my full body I simply do all of the exercises mentioned above.
