Prebuilt pc restartes when experiencing network issue
Hello, my brother prebuilt pc sometimes restartes when there are network issues with our internet over the phone line.
Over the summer when the network work's with no issies he never experiences restarts, but the moment we started getting snow and networks issues his pc restarts on random, we know that network issues happen because the iptv box from our carries alwo experience network issue at the same time.
We tried reinstalling windows, also installed bazzite which worked fine, byt yesterday at the same that the iptv box experienced network issues the pc rebooted.
Is there any way to diagnose this and fix?
Edit: this happened when he bought it with a tp link wifi usb dongle last year AND over ethernet since last few weeks.

This obviously needs further investigation. My guess would be that you have power issues, that causes both your network and computer issues.

I think you have it backwards. The power issues are causing your network issues.

My rule of thumb is that if you have problems that make no sense, it's probably a bad PSU. This lines up with the other comments about checking the source power.

Do you have a UPS for the pc? You should have a UPS to protect from brown/black outs and dirty power. There are several inexpensive ones you could get.

I wonder if you have a fault in your network wiring, one that causes a short circuit when it gets wet.

Happens over both an ethernet card and a USB adapter.
It's power, not the network or PC.

Yes and no.
It's not power by itself, because other appliances would be affected.
The common denominator is the network.
There may well be an interaction between the power and the network, but I'm suspecting earth issues, rather than voltage ones, because networking is essentially low voltage and adding power voltages would cause more permanent damage than a reboot or temporary outage.
A network should also be physically separated from power.
I'm suspecting that a network cable is damaged and is in close proximity to a power cable, which may well be also damaged, perhaps by the same event.
It might also not be in or near the house, but out on the street.

My first thought also, will have my father call our isp and notify them of the issue.
They might call someone to come over and check it out.
