If there were less fuss I would have transitioned a lot sooner, but having to abandon your entire family and community to be yourself is kind of a large hurdle.

Being disappointed as a child/adolescent as you accept magic isn't real because that means you'd never just wake up one day suddenly a girl.
Tbf, I don't think I thought it was a normal thought - it certainly wasn't something I was about to tell others. I just thought my wish was impossible, so might as well just bury it. I didn't know trans people existed or how medical transitioning worked.

The totally cis discussions with my friends about SCP-113 and how that 25% chance of being "stuck" without the possibility of dying isn't a big deal, and weirdly obsessing over this single SCP while everyone else quickly went on to the much cooler ones.
I really wish it had a link through at a certain point that says "Hey dummy, if you're willing/actively want to touch this and aren't concerned about the consequences, you're probably trans".
Would have saved me a lot of time and effort...
