Imagine getting up on stage for a presentation that would have cost in the ballpark of $500,000, all to promote your new video game, and instead of having people talk about it, they are instead talking about: a) Your stupid hat b) How your little speech sounded like a wizard breathed life into a downvoted […]

I was thinking about people repurposing the MAGA slogan the other day when I passed by a HVAC shop with a sign that read, "Make Your A/C Great Again."

I wondered then, as I do now, how this trend will be looked at in the future. I'm sure a large part of them are idiots capitalizing on the current popular slogan, but every time I see something like that I imagine businesses in Nazi Germany with signs like "Let us be your final solution for hardwood flooring" or "Let us make your kampf, mein kampf!"

That's... Unfortunate. Splitgate looked like fun. However I'll be damned if I support someone who, in turn, supports the kinda people who think I should be dead.

Sadly Splitgate always had the toxic gamer crowd, and the developers showed their hand more than once by using 'he/him/his' etc as the default when referring to players in some places in the actual game.

It was always toxic and had status quo politics but nobody seemed to notice.

Yeah, it's obviously political and I've got enough in my backlog that I don't need to support a game made by someone like him.
