am unfamiliar with this kind of art
the right img also makes me think of mystical magic lands, but more as in a real-life scenario, while the left gives me these more dreamy vibes. and I generally prefer vague, dreamy but also comf and exciting worlds over explicite and rule based ones...
BUT I will say that to me the right image looks significantly more comfy than the left one because that dragon is far more fluffy and cute and snugglable.

can kobolds be furry too? (i mean furry as in have fur, a kobold fursona would be the exact same as a dragon one but smaller(probably))

This is kinda canon in my rpg world? In general, the types of creatures branched off into all kinds of different beings. Some evolved to be more humanoid. There is probably at least one descendant of a dragon doing exactly this.
