Cheese rule

TommySoda @lemmy.world - 12mon

I'd eat the fuck out of that pizza and I am lactose intolerant.

56
miss_demeanour @lemmy.dbzer0.com - 12mon

For all intensive purposes excuse me while I kiss this guy.

39
N.E.P.T.R - 12mon

How insensitive! Lactose are people too.

16
bobs_monkey @lemm.ee - 12mon

I'm lactose too and my wife would chancla the shit outta me then make me sleep outside for a week. Might be worth it though, looks tasty.

6
lunarul @lemmy.world - 12mon

I'm lactose too

Watch out for @TommySoda@lemmy.world then. They won't tolerate you.

10
ZeffSyde @lemmy.world - 12mon

I've witnessed this self defeating behavior in a number of LI sufferers.

I'm beginning to believe they enjoy the gastrointestinal distress as much as they enjoy eating cheese.

5
tormeh @discuss.tchncs.de - 12mon

Least cheese-loving lactose intolerant human

3
GluWu @lemm.ee - 12mon

My ancestors shit themselves for millennia so I could consume the amount of dairy I do today. It would be a disgrace not to each so much cheese.

49
cardboardchris - 12mon

Bone apple tea!

47
WereCat @lemmy.world - 12mon

Bone ape tit

9
Lucidlethargy @sh.itjust.works - 12mon

Does Lemmy have a bone Apple Tea group? We need one if not.

26
FundMECFS - 12mon

Isn’t cheese not usually very high in lactose.

To be fair when I say the word cheese I have no idea if it’s equivalent to whatever the fuck american fast food places call cheese.

17
AngryCommieKender @lemmy.world - 12mon

Every pizza chain in the US uses low moisture reduced fat mozzarella or a similar mozzarella romano blend of cheese shreds. I've worked at all of the major chains, and a few of the minor ones.

8
FundMECFS - 12mon

Hmm well the Mozarella they sell here in Switzerland is extremely low lactose, but again I do not know if this is equivalent to what is called mozarella in the US.

I remember seeing cheese called “Gruyere” in the US which would be literally banned for false advertising in europe because it has nothing to do with actual gruyere.

7
AngryCommieKender @lemmy.world - 12mon

Well I never worked at any of the commissaries, so I don't know how it is made. The raw product tastes like real cheese, but I suppose with enough food chemistry you could fake that.

6
parody @lemmings.world - 12mon

Damn you fucking love pizza or what bro

1
AngryCommieKender @lemmy.world - 12mon

When I was in college it was good money, and they were willing to work around the fact that I had limited availability

2
parody @lemmings.world - 12mon

Oh nice :)

1
Duamerthrax @lemmy.world - 12mon

Fresh cheese is high in lactose. Aged cheese is not.

Depends on the type of cheese and if they they have any unusual processing involved.

5
Nexy - 12mon

I like my cheese with a bit of pizza

15
qyron - 12mon

lack toes in toddler ants

Lactose intolerance.

I had to read that fragment of a sentence way too many times to make the slightest sense of it.

15
Omega - 12mon

I swear why do people try spelling it like that??????

As in, using real words to pronounce another word as if it was Japan with kanji

5
melooone @feddit.org - 12mon

I see it so often with so many different words, I kinda got used to it.

  • Bone apple tea -> Bon Appétit
  • Hippocrip -> Hypocrite
  • Bone Jaw -> Bonjour
  • Sauce -> Source
  • Hippocrip -> Hypocrite
  • Artistic -> Autistic
  • Parmesan -> Parma jawn
  • Pasghetti -> Spaghetti
3
qyron - 12mon

I don't know! I honestly do not know!

2
naeap @sopuli.xyz - 12mon

Is Domino even using real cheese?
I tried their "pizza" once and it was barely stomachable
Maybe it's better in the USA than in Europe, but I can't imagine why this is a successful chain.
It's not even cheap...

14
bdonvr @thelemmy.club - 12mon

IMO in the US it's the best of the national chains. But I know it's pretty different overseas.

10
KoalaUnknown @lemmy.world - 12mon

Nah, Papa John >

3
bdonvr @thelemmy.club - 12mon

It's okay to be wrong

7
A7thStone @lemmy.world - 12mon

Would you like some sauce with your sugar?

2
klemptor @startrek.website - 12mon

Dominos is disgusting. It's basically the McDonald's of pizza. Honestly, I avoid all pizza chains and get wood-fired pizza at a local wine bar. Ooh and I just bought a pizza stone, gonna learn to make them myself!

8
brbposting @sh.itjust.works - 12mon

Careful. Next comes the pizza oven. After that, never enjoying pizza out again.

(as a friend would have me believe at least)

7
Swedneck @discuss.tchncs.de - 12mon

i will never understand this pizza elitism, even a fucking frozen pan pizza (which is the sloppiest of slop) is not actually bad..

5
I_am_10_squirrels @beehaw.org - 12mon

You don't even need a pizza stone, I use a granite tile I got at the home improvement store

5
Swedneck @discuss.tchncs.de - 12mon

in my experience just a regular metal oven pan is enough, like yeah it won't look exactly like a wood fired pizza but i for one don't generally fucking look at the bottom of the pizza as i am too busy eating it

3
I_am_10_squirrels @beehaw.org - 12mon

A pizza stone gives you a super crisp bottom crust while leaving the middle chewy

3
Swedneck @discuss.tchncs.de - 12mon

ah, i think our pizza is too thin for that. The bottom is like.. 5mm thick maybe? Not much there that can be chewy and that role is filled by the toppings anyways.

are you talking about like, deep dish pizza or whatever?

2
I_am_10_squirrels @beehaw.org - 12mon

Regular hand tossed or hand spread, not thin crust

2
nelly_man @lemmy.world - 12mon

They used to be awful, and in 2009, they ran an ad campaign explaining as much and informing you that they've changed.

My understanding is that they are much better now, but I've not eaten there since then, so I'm not sure. Either way, maybe Domino's Europe is only loosely affiliated and still uses the old shit.

6
Communist - 12mon

I had dominos in india and the US, and let me tell you, it's way better in the US.

3
PaintedSnail - 12mon

Around me, Domino's is good enough emergency pizza, and cheap enough if you use one of their coupon deals and pick it up yourself.

On a scale of 0 being a cockroach pit and 10 being a mom and pop shop in Chicago, they're about a 5.5. It would be better if they cut down on the salt.

2
RVGamer06 - 12mon

Reminder that Domino retracted from Italy

2
SubArcticTundra @lemmy.ml - 12mon

Something makes me want to step in it.

9
ZeffSyde @lemmy.world - 12mon

2

3
Chris Lowles - 12mon

Someone call Jack we got some material for a new YGS, also holy shit that's a lot of cheese.

7
idiomaddict @lemmy.world - 12mon

YGS

yokel game store

4
MonkderVierte @lemmy.ml - 12mon

Is this cheese with pizza?

6
IndiBrony - 12mon

I like to have a bit of cheese and put random YouTube videos on through my headphones as I sleep.

The resulting dreams are fucking trippy.

1
swab148 - 12mon

Double it again

6
dQw4w9WgXcQ @lemm.ee - 12mon

Double it and give it to the next person

4
pewgar_seemsimandroid - 12mon
