It looks like it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 shirts to make. Considering the price even of old shirts, plus how fiddly sewing a bunch of small pockets together would be compared to sewing a shirt with normal fabric, I don’t even want to imagine how much it would cost to buy this 🫣 Assuming fair labor prices and time investment similar to quilting, that’s probably hundreds of dollars minimum.

There's a thrift shop near me that sells shorts for ¢50, I would totally make this.

It's totally doable (obviously, since someone already did it!), it's just waaay more piecing than I would want to do for novelty wear, haha.

For this specific one where every single panel is a pocket, I was willing to spend $100 easy on it. Tho anything more than that and it’d have to be a real treat. But I’m picturing it for concerts and music festivals. Easy to hide something in a pocket when it’s Oops All Pockets™

Carhartt is expensive. For good reason mostly because they make high quality clothing. Now they're a symbol of working class pride, so because capitalism nthey make low quality expensive shit too with the logo on it.
If you had to cut up 60 Carhartt shirts in good condition to make this for sale it would be very expensive.

The Ryanair special.

I'm just thinking about how warm it would be. That much air space from the pockets would create a great resistance in conditions without strong winds.

That looks like something out of the SCP files, like a colony of organisms which look like pockets. Bet it has some nasty parasitic implications.
