Not only do I, I don't know how not to! But yeah, it's fun to write that way...maybe not always as straightforward to read, depending on the audience, but it's the most natural way for me to express my thoughts.

write it like that, delete all the asides, and assume the reader has a degree in whatever your context was, like old timey british guys writing for people who all went to the same school

If I don't have at least two parentheticals in a high effort rant to explain even the most trivial nagging exception or nuance then why did I even write the damn thing to start with?

Quite often. I’m sure I overshare way more than not, but no one ever says anything. Also, I damn near went off on a tangent in this post without realizing it. It has since been deleted.

I don't write, but it's something I notice when reading. Another tell I've noticed is characters who communicate too clearly and reasonably with each other.

Always. I love it, but it tends to land me in trouble when academic writing. It so easily turns into a million different side quests and new ideas that I won't remember the next day, but boy do I learn a lot.
My writing always goes from too long and expansive to less when most people I know struggle with getting enough writing done. My bachelors thesis was twice the recommended lenght when I started to scrap stuff from it.
