She didn't know if she remembered the right password, using a private window probably allowed her to test the password she remembered and verify that it was the right one.

That makes sense , pls everyone use password managers , KeePassXC and Bitwarden are both free of charge and collectively owned (Bitwarden the company also has a free of charge hosting plan).

Also, I don't think people realize that they can add an email to their Hexbear account in the settings to have access to an automatic password reset process at the login screen, or add a Matrix account to their Hexbear account and then use that to message the admins for a password reset if they ever need one.

My inbox has been stuck at 1 for 2-3 days now
Nothing I do will fix it. Mark all as read. Ticking stuff off. It just always shows as 1. Doesn't matter if I have 20 messages or no messages.
One thing that's good to try is deleting cookies and logging in again. See if that works.
