As a I am shocked that Colombia is willing to sacrifice their economy so badly.
Haven't they heard that the only way to transition to renewable is by first allowing oil and gas companies to bleed the earth dry for a pittance? It's like they don't even care about the line anymore.

Both this as well as the aggression against Venezuela might have the purpose of increasing/stabilizing oil prices.
A ban on new oil projects can always be revoked or exceptions can be made.
But Gustavo Petro might also just be a cool guy.
