A stupid The Oatmeal cartoon...

Well, at least a comment in that thread is good.

I once saw a guy with "Untouchable" tattooed down one arm and "Unstoppable" down the other, but he was wearing a T-shirt so it just said "Ouchable" and "Toppable."

I will never forgive The Oatmeal for the so-true Tesla comics.

Link for dead-dove-1 (CW: Mentions a slur instead of using the word "transmission" or "gearbox")

Toppable and ouchable is a good way to announce you're both a bottom (Or at least verse) and a masochist.

One time in Japan my friends and I saw a lady who had a t-shirt with a word that ended in "hore". She had her sweater hanging off her shoulders, and it was covering the first letter, so we were debating wether it said "shore" or "whore".

You should be shamed for eating bluefin tuna, it is not a sustainable fishery

I googled "unashamed" in a Christian context and I didn't get anything other than crap and copypasta which is clearly the future of all google searches. Finally I found a rando comment by a random redditor.

Romans 1:16:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

“Unashamed” is a common phrase in the Christian movement. In this context it means that you’re unashamed of being a follower of Christ. Being proud more commonly refers to being satisfied with yourself. Even if you say “I’m proud to be in a relationship with you” it gives a feeling of “I’m good enough for you” which is not part or the Christian message. Everyone is the same in the eyes of God.

Who the fuck thinks they're a victim when they follow the majority religion in the country. Shame? What fucking shame it's the official religion of the country!

Christ would tell them they need some more shame tbh, they aren't under the oppression of the Romans anymore they are the Romans.

American Christians should be studied for their nanotech properties. They have the thinnest skin in the known universe.

I’m in the oppressed religion of which every leader of my country for 250+ years has been a member

Victimhood is core to white Evangelical Christian culture in the US - they see themselves as besieged by the forces of Satan in a fallen world. While they do have disproportionate control of the levers of power, they have long felt (correctly) that they hold little sway over broader culture in the country. Their beliefs and lifestyle are not respected by most of the secular, professional class, or by those who produce most of our cultural products (Hollywood, the music industry, etc). They lost the “culture war” long ago, and they just grow more and more bitter about it as time goes on. This is where MAGA came from.

Deep down they know that they should be ashamed. That they believe in a stupid malevolent cult. Needing to insist for ideological reasons that the earth is 6000 years old, that everyone is descended at least twice over from single families doing incest, etc. is deeply embarrassing to them as well it should be. But without it they have no pretense for the bigotry and sadism which they simply cannot do without. So they pretend and insist that they aren't ashamed all the louder.

Ahh so this is evangelical shit? My experience with them is actually very low because they barely exist in europe.
