Hey folks, I am a 26 year old Oglala Lakota organizer who has been going coast to coast the last 5 years meeting leftists and organizers of all stripes from many eras in organizing and from many different organizations. Because of this I have met a lot of people who are on the same page theoretically and in praxis but for one reason or another are not all in the same organization. This is something we want to change and in order to do so conversations must happen in person. We have many projects going on but this fundraiser is specifically to help conduct a research trip that will double as a supply run to grab much needed plants, gardening tools, and other things land workers we support left behind when they moved across the country to help our organizing efforts in the Great Plains and Great Lakes regions. We work primarily in these areas because we have land there that we can build and grow on, and because of cultural ties our paid organizers have to the areas (both are Oceti Sakowin ancestral lands which is the larger federation the Oglala Lakota nation belongs to and other peoples in the GLs region).

We are therefore asking for $2025 to pay for a rental to grab the much needed supplies and to help us have important meetings and interviews with organizers along the way. I am also producing a audio documentary on the history and legacy leading up to and happening after Wounded Knee 1973 which this trip will also help further along. This money will also pay for food, gas, and emergency funds if anything bad should happen on the way. Please help I am exhausted and will even do a loan with interest Ill pay off over the course of next year and I know some of you have 2025 to spare.
