Something like this would be so lovely in wilderness medicine. I always measure my hikes and how cautious I am with terrain by how long a rescue would take. Most trails here have really complicated SAR logistics with 1-3 hours of driving on bad roads, 2+ hours doing class 3 hiking up mountains, and another 2+ hours down if you don't use a helicopter which starts at $100k for the patient and $3-8k per hour to operate. And that's only after they're alerted and get the crews together from across massive counties, most of whom have other jobs as firefighters or paramedics so it's draining those municipal resources.

I might spend 12+ hours laying there without painkillers, my blood flow compromised and brain swelling, before I get any frontline treatment. If a single ambulance crew can cheaply/quickly ferry in one medic and extract the patient to the trailhead while the medic hikes out, resource allocation becomes much less of an issue and the patient's odds become so much better.

Lol these things have better awareness sensors than Tesla's self-driving setup.
